Field of Study: | Business Administration and Management, General Management Science, General
|
Description: | This program focuses on business research in one of seven fields of study: accounting, finance, management information systems, marketing, organizational behaviour, management science, and managerial economics. Students select one field of study and pursue coursework and a research project in that field. Unlike MBA programs that focus on the application of management theory and frameworks, Queen’s MSc provides an advanced conceptual foundation in your chosen field, and allows for the pursuit of highly focused research.
The goal of the program is to prepare students for entry into high-quality PhD programs, consulting research analyst positions and careers. The program is designed for students from a variety of disciplines who have completed a four-year undergraduate degree. For example, economics graduates may pursue an MSc in finance; engineering or math graduates may choose management science, while psychology majors may choose organizational behaviour. Many undergraduates with commerce and business degrees also apply. Other undergraduate degrees will also be considered for study in a related area.
